Polarized sunglasses - choosing the right glass color

Regardless if spin fishing, ground fishing or float fishing – fishing and polarized glasses belong together. But which glass color is the right choice at the right time?

For us anglers, knowing what it happening around us – especially underwater – is of enormous importance and unfortunately not that easy. Spotting fishes often is virtually impossible without polarized glasses.

But there are considerable differences among polarized glasses. Beyond the polarizing effect, first of all the glass color, which ideally is chosen according to the weather, has a great impact.

If you want to be prepared as best as possible for the actual weather situation, it is recommended to have different models available at one time.

Ideal glass colors are gray, green, brown and yellow. These colors hardly distort the natural color perception and you can concentrate on your environment.

According to the weather you should choose your colors as follows:

  • Glass color grey/green
The best choice for bright and sunny days.

  • Glass color brown
Perfect at days with normal and bright light.

  • Glass color yellow
When the weather is cloudy or slightly foggy we recommend the use of yellow glasses.
